Every face of Audrey Kawasaki’s work, although she claims are the same, is different to me. I fell in love with each face she drew. I started following her when I saw her geisha illustration.
i appreciate criticism. and i can understand how viewers can get bored. which is fine.
i cant please everyone. and it would be a shame if that was my sole purpose.
i have my reasons. my search. my process.
and i admit. it is stubbornly single-minded. but that is my drive and aim to all this.
all the girls i paint, is one girl. she is in my mind always. and nothing will stray from that.

work of artist audrey kawasaki presented in a composed series poster.
You know, there’s having a style, and then there’s being completely boring. This girl has style while being a total bore. I would never go out of my way to look at her work in a gallery. If you’ve seen one piece by her, you’ve seen them all. She’s like the Owl City of art.
↑ so true
I don’t completely agree with the above, but some of it is true for most people. I do love Audrey Kawasaki, she’s the best. And I know she follows me so I am reblogging this hoping she sees it, not so that she gets hurt but that she sees it as a constructive critique, to try a few new things. To me and to many others what she does is just fine, but I know there’s plenty of people out there that think like above and maybe we should understand their point and take it like an opportunity to grow :)
I love Audrey Kawasaki’s work!
